Past continuous

My mother [blank_start]was[blank_end] playing with the dog in the garden.

Yesterday, I [blank_start]went[blank_end] to the museum with my mother. There [blank_start]were[blank_end] two security [blank_start]guards[blank_end] next to the door. The exhibition started at 5 pm. I [blank_start]was[blank_end] reading a [blank_start]book[blank_end] about The Royal Family. Then, I played a very old piano that was in one corner. The son of my aunt (my [blank_start]cousin[blank_end]) is [blank_start]older[blank_end] than me, because he is 13 years old. [blank_start]His[blank_end] name is Jimmy. My aunt and uncle weren't [blank_start]taking[blank_end] photos because they didn't have a [blank_start]camera[blank_end]. Jimmy [blank_start]was[blank_end] drinking lemonade and [blank_start]eating[blank_end] a cake in the bathroom, because you can't eat in a museum. When we arrived home, I met my dad's parents (my [blank_start]grandparents[blank_end]) and we [blank_start]had[blank_end] a barbeque. When my grandpa [blank_start]was[blank_end] cooking, the neighbours came to our garden. We had a great time playing with them.
