• Formula: ax^2 + c = 0

• X is factored out of the expression, equals 0. The variable in each of the factors is cleared.

• Solutions: x1 = 0 x2 = -b/a

• Subtract c from both sides of the operation. Both members are divided by a. The square root is calculated.

• Solutions: x1 = + √ -c / a x2 = - √ -c / a

• x = -b ±  √ b^2 - 4ac  2a

• It is the same as the one used to solve mixed incomplete equations

• But here it is not by common factor, but as the product of two binomials
