• Install the IP Address Management (IPAM) server feature

• Install the IP Address Management (IPAM) client feature

• Open Server Manager on the server where the IPAM client was installed

• In the IPAM client, choose Provision the IPAM server: Configure Database

• In the IPAM client, choose Connect to the IPAM server

• Windows Internal Database (WID)

• Microsoft SQL Server

• In the IPAM client, choose Provision the IPAM server: Select provisioning method

• Execute Invoke-IpamGpoProvisioning cmdlet

• In the IPAM client, choose Configure server discovery: choose 'Get forests'

• In the IPAM client, choose Configure server discovery: Add the discovered domain

• Manual

• Group Policy Based

• Enter GPO name Prefix

• In the IPAM client, choose Start server discovery

• In the IPAM client, choose Select or add servers to manage and verify IPAM access

• In the 'Select or add servers to manage and verify IPAM access' menu, right click the IPAM server and select Edit

• Execute a gpupdate /force on the servers that are managed by IPAM

• This will trigger discovery of DNS, DHCP, etc. servers

• In the Server type menu, check all boxes of the servers to manage, and set Manageability status to managed

• In the 'Select or add servers to manage and verify IPAM access' menu, right click the IPAM server and select Refresh Server Access Status

• A green checkmark should now appear

• In the 'Select or add servers to manage and verify IPAM access' menu, right click the IPAM server and select Retrieve All Server Data
