- In the HOR, a bill dropped off in a hopper
- Speaker of the House assigns it to a committe
- House Committee researches, debates the bill
- Sent to the House Floor (all members of the HOR) to vote on
- If the bill passes the HOR, goes to the Senate (process starts over again)
- Majority leader of the Senate assigns the bill to a committee
- Next goes to the Senate floor (all the Senators vote yea or nay)
- Both House of the Congress must pass the bill before it goes to the President
- Bill passes go the President.President can do 3 things
- Sign it & the bill becomes law
- Use his pocket veto ( ignore itm if it the last 10 D SAYS of Congress session it will not become law.
