Effects of the
Renaissance
- Revived Art: The some most famous artists of all
time (Raphael, Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci)
created sculptures and paintings inspired by
ancient Greek and Roman artists.
- Revived Science: Scientists like Galileo and Copernicus
believed that the sun was in the center of the universe and
Galileo became the first person to point his telescope
toward the sky.
- Revived Inventions: Inventors, such as Johannes Gutenberg’s, invented
new and useful things during the Renaissance. Johannes Gutenberg
invented a printing press that used movable type, or small reusable metal
pieces for each letter and number.
- Church Reformation: Some people didn't like the way their
churches were so they started a religion called Protestantism.
This was started by Martin Luther.
