    1. Hunted for food
      1. Religion
        1. Supernatural - believed that evil sprits caused illness, to get rid of the illness the evil sprits had to be removed
        2. No communication, nothing was written down so no record of discoveries, it was just by the word of mouth
          1. Trephining
            1. drilled a hole in the head to release the evil sprits
            2. A lot of use of charms to keep the evil sprits away
              1. Praying
              2. used things such as herbs and mud to fix things like broken bones etc.
