To what extent did germans benefit from nazi
rule in the 1930s-social policies/standard of
living
- 1-germans believed nazi rule was improving their
lives-unemployment hasdrastically reduced and
few people were starving
- 2-small buisnesses often did well-
competing jewish buisnesses that were
closed down by nazis-big buisnesses
benefitted from construction projects and
big profits were made
- 3- so long as buisnesses were happy
to produce what the nazis wanted
- 4-from july 1935 it
became compulsery for
all german men between
ages 18-25 todo 6 months
work on practicle projects
- 5-only paid pocket money not wages
not very popular but provided a
sense of purpose for the unemployed
- 6-strenght through joy
organisationj was set up by
german labour
frount-attempted to provide
activities for leisure time to
ensure happy work fource
- 7-mid 1930s many germans
were pleased with the effects
of nazi policies- unemployment
was falling pride was rising
especially after the olympics
- 8-hitler then remilitarised the
rhineland in the same year
germans felt more secure
from attack- germany and
austria joined -anschluss
