- Present continuous
- It is used to describe actions
that are happening in this
moment, that is, in the moment
in which you are speaking

- Past simple
- The simple past is used when
talking about the following actions:
- A completed action that has no
connection to the present.
Repeated actions in the past.
In stories, stories or when talking
about historical events.
- Form
- With regular verbs, we use the
infinitive and add the ending “-ed”.
The form is the same for all people (I,
you, he, she, it, we, they).
- Examples
- want → wanted.
learn → learned.
stay → stayed
- Irregular verbs never modify their
root in any of the tenses, modes,
people in which they can be
conjugated.

- Arise- arose.
Awake- awoke.
Bear- bore.
