provides employment. BUT it destroyed
ecosystems, 1.9 mill people displaced to higher
less fertile ground or urban areas where they
have no applicable skill.

- Companies-> increased income, lower wages. Consumers-> get flowers all year round

their community.

water tanks. Locals provided labour and money.
Labourers learnt skills to allow the to carry on
building/repairing them.Started as top down the
developed into a bottom up project.

to specific needs of local economy environment etc.
3) Uses local knowledge to better project, they know what
the problem is & how to address. 4) Helps unity in
community

- Less funding so finished product is less high
tech & economical. hard to scale up as it is
specific to area. No/minimal impact on
wider inter/national community
