Zusammenfassung der Ressource
MITOSIS
- 1. PROPHASE
- Chromosomes
condense, getting
shorter and fatter
- Centrioles
start moving to
opposite ends
of the cell
- Forms a network of
proteins and fibres
across cell called the
Spindle
- Nuclear envelope
breaks down leaving
chromosomes free in
cytoplasm
- INTERPHASE
- The cell is
preparing
to divide
- DNA is
unravelled and
replicated
- ATP content
increased (provides
energy needed for
cell division
- 2.METAPHASE
- the chromosomes each with
two chromatids line up along
the middle of the cells
- chromosomes become
attached to spindle by
their centromere
- 3.ANAPHASE
- centromeres
divide, separating
each pair of sister
chromatids
- Spindles contract
pulling the chromatids
to opposite ends of cell
- 4. TELOPHASE
- chromatids uncoil
becoming thin and
long again
- They are now called
chromosomes again
- nuclear envelope
forms around each
pair of chromosomes
and cytoplasm divides
- There are now two daughter cells
that are genetically identical to
original cell
