  1. The silent way
    1. Is a method that can be used with intermediate and advanced students of the language, also it is a Method that affects, not only education but the way one perceives the living of life itself
      1. The techniques and materials
        1. Sound colour chart
          1. The chart contains blocks of color, each one representing a sound in their target language
          2. Teacher's silence
            1. The teacher gives just as much help as is necessary and then is silent
            2. Peer Correction
              1. Students are encouraged to help another student when he or she is experiencing difficulty
              2. Rods
                1. Rods can be used to provide visible actions or situations for any language structure, to introduce it or to enable students to practice using it
                2. Self-correction gestures
                  1. The teacher has he students self-correct by asking them, or in this case, by making signals with his hands
                  2. Word Chart
                    1. The teacher and students point to words on the wall charts in a sequence so that they can read aloud the sentences that have spoken
                    2. Fidel Charts
                      1. The Teacher and students point to the colour-coded Fidel charts in order to associate sounds with their spelling
                      2. Structured feedback
                        1. Students are invited to make observations about the day's lesson and what they have learned
                    3. Community language learning
                      1. This method makes teacher see their students as a whole person, this means that teacehr consider not only their students' intellect, but also have some understanding of the the relationship among students felings, physical reactions, instinctive protective reactions and desire to learn

                          1. Tape recording students conversation
                            1. This is a technique used to record student-generated language as wee the opportune for community learning to come about
                            2. Trasncription
                              1. The teacher transcribes the students' tape-recorded target language conversatoin
                              2. Reflection on experience
                                1. The teacher takes time during and/or after the various activities to give the students the opportunity to reflect on how they feel about the language
                                2. Reflective Listening
                                  1. The stundets relax and listen to their own voices speaking the target language on the tape.
                                  2. Human-Computer
                                    1. A student chooses some part of the transcript to practice prononuncing
                                    2. Small group tasks
                                      1. Teacher makes students work in small groups, there are a lot of different activities that could occur when with students working in small groups
                                  3. Total Physical Response
                                    1. It is called this because of the importance it gives to listening comprehension. The students listen to their teacher using the target language communicatively from the beginning of the instruction They do not speak first
                                      1. The techniques
                                        1. Using commands to direct behaviour
                                          1. The commands are given to get students to perform an action; the action makes the meaning of the command clear.
                                          2. Role Reversal
                                            1. Students command their teacher and classmates to perform some actions.
                                            2. Action Sequence
                                              1. At one point, the teacher can give three or more connected commands. for example, the teacher told the students to point to the door, walk to the door and touch the door.
