Glossary: Best Or Friends?
  1. 1- Think= Form [a person] ideas and representations of reality in his mind, relating to each other. two. Consider a matter carefully and carefully, especially to study it, understand it well, form an opinion about it or make a decision.
    1. EXAMPLES: -"think through a plan carefully" or "think where are you going"
    2. 2-Match= Being [a person] in agreement with another or others. 2. Combine one thing well with another
      1. EXAMPLES:"The critic matches the audience in that it is a good movie" -"the table was covered with a tablecloth that matched both the dishes and the decoration of the room"
      2. 3- Heading=Formula, expression or set of expressions that are put at the beginning of a letter or writing; in particular words that are addressed in the vocative. two. Leading action.
        1. EXAMPLES: "The dogs are heading this way". OR "It seems to be heading."
        2. 4- Many= Indicates a high amount, number, intensity or degree, especially when it is greater than expected or what is usually considered normal.
          1. EXAMPLES: "I don't think many people would argue with that." or "Not many films are made in Finland."
          2. 5- Survive=Stay alive after the death of a person or after a certain event or time, especially if they are dangerous
            1. EXAMPLES: ""the older brother survived the two little ones" OR "Realism survives because the techniques of expressing it are reformed"
            2. 6- Things=Word that designates everything that exists or has an entity, whether material or immaterial, real or imaginary, concrete or abstract (objects, living beings, thoughts, sensations, emotions, actions, events, etc.) and that can be conceived as one unit independent of another; it is often used as a substitute for a word that is not meant or is not known.
              1. EXAMPLES: "There are some nice things in the shops this summer." OR "All their things were destroyed in the fire."
              2. 7- Ourselves=used when the subject of the verb is "we" or the speaker and one or more others, and the object is the same group of people:
                1. EXAMPLES: "We went to get ourselves something to eat" OR "John and I promised ourselves a good holiday this year"
                2. 8- Will= used to talk about what is going to happen in the future, especially things that you are certain about or things that are planned.
                  1. EXAMPLES: "Clare will be five years old next month." OR "Representatives of the member states will be meeting next week"
                  2. 9- Mistakes= Idea, opinion or expression that a person considers correct but that in reality is false or wrong. two. Action that does not follow what is correct, successful or true
                    1. EXAMPLES: ""Copernicus proved that it was a mistake to consider that the Sun revolved around the Earth" OR "'m not blaming you - we all make mistakes."
                    2. 10. Given= To make [a person] that something close, his own or that he has, pass to another voluntarily. two. transitive verb Make something material or immaterial available to a person or thing, especially if it is needed or convenient for them.
                      1. EXAMPLES: "give the children a snack" OR "I have given you the solution to your problem"
                      2. 13- Anybody=It designates an undetermined element among the members that are part of the set of people or things denoted by the name it accompanies or replaces. two. Designates an unimportant, worthless or non-special element among the members that are part of the set of people or things denoted by the name it accompanies or replaces. "
                        1. EXAMPLES: "She's a bitworried about moving to a big city where she won't know anybody." OR "he was resentful of anybody's attempts to interfere in her work."
                        2. 11- Somebody= One or more indeterminate people. two. Specific person known to the speaker but unknown to the listener.
                          1. EXAMPLES: "I’d rather take care of my own kids than let somebody I don’t know raise them" OR "You don’t have the right to interfere in somebody else’s life."
                          2. 12. Always=At any moment of time, without interruption; it can refer to the entire time or the entire time considered. two. As often as possible or in the right circumstances, or very often.
                            1. EXAMPLES: "It's always cold in this room" OR "She always spells my name wrong."
