SUPERLATIVOS: the - est
y the -most
- Estructura
- El superlativo siempre
va precedido del artículo
determinado:
- Si el adjetivo termina en consonante +
vocal + consonante, la última
consonante debe repetirse antes de
añadir la terminación: fat — the fattest.
- EJEMPLO: the
fastest, the most
intelligent.
- Si el adjetivo tiene tres
sílabas o más, formaremos
el comparativo añadiendo
most: important — the
most important.
- Y si acaba en -y, debemos
cambiarla por una i: happy — the
happiest.
- Forma Positiva
- En el caso de los adjetivos
de una sílaba, formamos el
superlativo añadiendo -est
al final: tall — tallest.
- Si el adjetivo tiene dos
sílabas, podemos añadir
-est o bien poner most
delante del adjetivo.
- The whale is the biggest animal in the ocean -
La ballena es el animal mas grande en el
oceano
- Bad — the worse.
Good — the best.
Far — the furthest
/ farthest. Little —
the least. Much —
the most.
- Sujeto + am/is/are + the adjetivo -est + complemento
- Sujeto + am/is/are + the most adjetivo largo + complemento
- Forma Negativa
- sirven para expresar una
negación o contradicción,
- Después de superlativos,
usamos en (no de) + lugares.
- The whale isn't the biggest animal in the
ocean - La ballena no es el animal mas grande
en el oceano
- I don't play the piano -
Yo no toco el piano.
- She didn't come to visit me in the end
- Al final no vino a visitarme.
- We haven't seen this film -
Nosotros no hemos visto esta
película.

- Para hacerla interrogativa primero tienes
que poner el verbo to be, los cuales son
AM, IS, ARE, y significan ser o estar.
