Euthanasia

support if the patient is clinically
dead.
- It is not wrong if
medical treatment is
withheld and the
person dies.
- It is only Euthanasia if the aim of your actions is to kill the person, not to relieve pain.
- DOUBLE EFFECT: It is not wrong to give someone a large dose if
painkillers if they are in serious pain and they die from it.
- Euthanasia is often a case of whether the person's quality of life is well enough
for them to carry on living, e.g. if they cannot move or communicate.
