- When a phrasal verb consist of a verb and a preposition
- - It always has an object - The object (noun or pronoun) always goes after the preposition (can´t be separated)
- 1-The rest of the group looked after Diana (not looked Diana after)
- Adverb + Preposition
- When the phrasal consist of three parts
- -It always has an object -The object (noun or pronoun) always goes after the phrasal verb ( the three parts can´t be
separated)

- Divided in
- Transitive
- They have a direct object
- You need to fill out this form to register for the course.
- Separable
- You can separate the two words and put the direct object in the middle.
- PICK UP: They’ll pick Rod up from school = They’ll pick him up from school
- Inseparable
- You can't separate the two words and put the direct object in the middle.
- LOOK AFTER: I’ll look after your Ipad while you are in the restroom - NOT: I’ll look your Ipad after while
you are in the restroom
- Intransitive
- They don't have a direct object
- The noise of the car died away
