- 1848- The first gathering for women rights was held
- 1869- Wyoming was the first state to grant women with complete voting rights

- Stanton and Susan B. Anthony
- 1850- Stanton met Susan B. Anthony and forged a lifetime alliance as women rights activist
- They agitated against the denial of basic economic freedoms to women
- They lobbied congress to include women in the provisions of the 14th and 15th amendment
- 1890- Seeking to capitalize on their newfound "Constitutuency" they united to form NSWA and AWSA
- 1910- 1914 The NAWSA intented its lobbying efforts and additional states extended the franchise to women

- 1913- She formed a rivay congressional union ( Which was later known as the National Women's Party)
- 1913- State legislature granted women the right to vote
- 1917- President Wilson urged congress to pass a voting rights amendment
- 1918- House of Representives initially passed a voting rights amendment
- 1919- The house again voting its approval by a margin the state concurring
- 1920- The 19th amendment provided full voting rights for women
- 1924- Emily N. Blair vice president of the democratic national committee observed " Women are welcomed to come in as a worker but not as a co workers of the world"
