- Scaffolding Strategies
- 1. Teacher: Use of First Language- translate CVC words, CVC e words, days of the week and months into
students' first languages Student: Learn the meaning of English words as they are learning to write as well
- 2. Teacher: Use Visual Aids- I will get pictures that correlate with CVC words, CVC e words, days of the week
and months Student: visually see the words and pictures
- 4. Teacher: Read Aloud- the students will be challenged to read the days of the week and months Student: Sound out the words and practice
reading aloud the words
- 5. Teacher: Modeling Gestures- as the students are writing the number words, we can use our body parts to show the
number they are writing Student: correlate the number name with body parts
- 3. Teacher: Partner Work- partner up the students so that they may help each other write their own names and
