Christmas Carol Themes Pg. 24-27

1. People can change.

   • Pg. 24, Scrooge was excited when he saw his old boss Fezziwig. In stave 1, the reader would have never have thought that Scrooge would have been excited about anything. We see change in Scrooge in Stave two.
   • Pg. 27, Scrooge actually wanted to talk to his old clerk, Cratchit, about something. From what we know from stave 1, Scrooge would not really want to talk to anybody unless he had to or unless it was for money.

2. Money isn't everything./ Money can't buy happiness.

   • Pg. 26, Fezziwig only spent a few pounds on the Christmas party that everyone seemed to enjoyed. Some people think you have to have an expensive party to make people happy, but in this case Fezziwig thinks differently.
