- They descovered that the human
body contains 46 chromosomes
not 48 that had been the number
they prevously had thought for the
preceding 30 years
- Refered to in the 1960's and 1970's as the super male syndrome
- Rare condition

- happens during sperm production
- The chromosome doesnt seperate during the
cross over and it causes the extra Y chromosome
- nondisjunction
