Why did the League of Nations Fail in
Abyssinia and Manchuria?
- The League of Nations task was to ensure that war never
broke out again. After the Treaty of Versailles, many
looked to the League to bring stability to the world.
- The League of Nations was an international organization, created after the
First World War to provide a forum for resolving international disputes.
Though first suggested by President Woodrow Wilson as a plan for peace
in Europe, the United States never became a member.
- Mussolini got ready to invade Abyssinia. He wanted war and glory.
