survey in the parents primary langugage

should be assessed based on their English
language profficency
- Survey not only gives information
regarding language the student speaks at
home with his/her parents, but also tells
what other languages the child may be
exposed to
- It is imporatant to not only assess academic
skills, but also their literacy skills in their first
language
