Groundwater
1. Def: Water that fills in the cracks and spaces in the underground soil and rocky layers

    2. When it rains or snows, most water than doesent evaporate soaks into the ground
Oceans
1. Def: the vast body of salt water that covers almost three fourths of earths surface

    1. There are 5 oceans in total:Pacific, Atlantic, Indian, Southern and Artic. (PAISA)
    2. The Pacific Ocean is the largest, covering an area greater than all land in Earth
ice
1. Def: the solid form of water, produced by freezing.
  1. Characteristics
    1. Much of Earths fresh water is frozen into sheets of ice
    2. Masive ice sheets cover most of Greenland and Antartida
Rivers
1. Def: A natural stream of water of fairly large size flowing in a definite course.
Lakes
1. Def: a body of fresh water of considerable size, sorrounded by land.
  1. Characteristics
    1. North America five Great Lakes contain about 20% of all Earths lakes.
    2. Some are formed by humans and some by natural causes.
