- 1. CREATION (GEN1-2)

- God creates the world in 7 days.He has a rest in the last day.
- God is powerful because he just says, " it was so". Then a new thing was built.
- In the Bible, there is a pattern, 7, 21,35...
- God saw that it was good 5 times and 1 was very good.
- God creates Adam and Eve.
- 2. THE FALL
(GEN 3-4)

- Adam and Eve eat the forbidden fruit of the knowledge of good and evil.
- Adam and Eve are bare at first.
- After they eat the fruit in the Eden, they can see clearly.
- Then they noticed they are bare, so they wear clothes for themselves.
- They forfeit eating from the tree of life.
- 3. NOAH & THE FLOOD

- God asks Noah to make an Ark.
- He takes animals with him.
- When they are in Ark, the earth has a flood for 40 days.
- God destroys the world through a flood sparing Noah and his family a total of 8 people.
- This event serve as a Re-creation of the world.
- 4. ABRAHAM

- God asks Abraham to kill his son.
- Interesting that all 3 major religions acknowledge that Abraham existed.
- God calls Abraham into covenant and extends three promises to him
- The Nation Promise
- The Land Promise
- The Seed Promise
- When he's old he has a son, Isaac. Isaac is the child of "promise"
- 5. MOSES & THE EXODUS

- Moses was an Israel born into Egyptian bondage, but he was raised in Pharaoh's household.
- The Lord called Moses from a burning bush.
- After 40 years living as a shepherd, God called him to go back to Egypt in order to deliver the Israelites from bondage.
- Moses convinces Pharaoh through a series of plague culminating in the death of the first born (Passover) to free the Israelites from their bondage.
- Moses uses special power to separate the Red Sea, and he closes the gap between separate red sea so that Egyptian army dead.
- 6. MT. SINAL AND GIVING OF THE LAW

- Moses leads the Israelites to camp at Mt. Sinai.
- They enter a covenant with God, receive the law, and build the tabernacle.
- On the day they received the Law, Mount Sinai was covered with smoke, because the Lord descended on it in fire.
- The Law named Ten Commandments.
- People stand at the foot of the mountain.
- 7. KING DAVID

- The Greatest King of Israel.
- One day, David saw Bathsheba was taking bath.
- David slept with her, and then she was pregnant.
- David asked Uriah (Bathsheba's husband) to go home, but he refused.
- Joan gives David a idea so that Uriah died in the war. Then David married with Bathsheba.
- 8. THE EXILE

- Babylonians come in 586 BCE and destroy Judah.
- The Jews lived in the exile for 70 years until the Persians defeated the Babylonian Empire.
- After the exile, Jews relocated throughout the Mediterranean region in what is termed the Diaspora.
- the Babylonian Exile was proof of Yahweh's displeasure.
- During The Exile, Jews refocused their identity as a person.
