The Jungle Book
- REPRODUCES: Organisms need to reproduce to maintain
the species. Ex: The deers reproduce to keep the specie.
- STIMULI: The reactions to internal and external stimuli are
called responses. Ex: The tiger respond for the need of food by
chasing a human, but the human responds by trying to attack
the tiger with fire.
- GROWS AND DEVELOPS: Growing means increasing mass,
and developing results in different abilities.Ex: Mowgli
grows as time goes by and learns new abilities that will help
him survive.
- MADE OF ONE OR MORE CELLS: All organisms
are made of one or more cells. Ex: In this image we
have a tree, a snake, a person, a bear, etc, and all of
them are multicellular organisms.
- DISPLAYS ORGANIZATION: The levels of
organization in the organisms are very important.
Each organized structure has a specific function.
Ex: The wolves have an incredible organization in
atoms, molecules, etc, without this organization,
the wolves wouldn't be able to live.
- REQUIRES ENERGY:The energy is
required for all life processes. Ex: Mowgli
eats a fruit, and this helps him doing his
activities because food is processed as
energy.
- MAINTAINS
HOMEOSTASIS:Homeostasis refers to
the stability, balance, or equilibrium
within a cell or the body. Ex: Mowgli
regulates his body temperature
constantly and sweats to keep his body
in perfect conditions.
- ADAPTATIONS EVOLVE OVER THE TIME:
Adaptations are changes that occur to help species
survive. Ex: The trees are one of the oldest organisms
that are constantly evolving to try to adapt to the new
environment.
