    1. All objects emit and absorb infrared radiation.
      1. The hotter the object is, the more infrared radiation.
        1. Dark, matt surfaces are good absorbers and emitters.

            1. Good reflectors of radiation.
          2. Emitting Infrared Radiation
            1. All objects give out thermal radiation
              1. Matt black surfaces are the best emitters of radiation.
                1. Shiny surfaces are the worst emitters of radiation.
                2. Absorbing Infrared Radiation
                  1. Infrared waves heat objects that absorb them.
