- QR CODES
- QR stands for quick response codes. It gets
its name because when it is scanned it can
show an image or a web page that it contains.
- It purpose is simple- it is made to take people to websites or display
an image when scanned. The most common way to scan a QR code
is to use the application on a mobile phone.
- They are normally found on packages with links
to websites or any place that wants to
advertise. It is used because it is an exciting
way to show the information and it attracts
attention.
- PYTHON
- Python is a coding language that can
be used to program events and
games. It uses a special text editor
called IDLE.
- A bug is when there is a
mistake in the code and causes
the application to run incorrectly.
- There are also operators like a
mathematical operator (runs
mathematical equations) and a
comparative operator (comparing
data).
- Syntax error occurs when a
computer fails to run a program
because it cannot understand the
code applied.
- A float is a number
data-type that can
have a decimal.
- HTML
- HTML is another coding language,
which stands for Hyper Text
Markup Language.
- Quite a lot of commands in HTML
involve using tags with certain
meanings.
- i = italic
- b = bold
- u = underline
- a = link
- body = of text
- br = line break
- p = paragraph
- src = source
- ing= image
- A variable tag is h1 - h6, which defines the size of the
heading with h1 being the biggest.
- Every tag has to be written like this:
<b>. This would make the text bold.
- HTML's primary use is
to make webpages
using coding.
- CRYPTOGRAPHY
- The word 'cryptography'
originates from the Greek word
'kryptos'.
- It mainly works by having a message that has to be figured
out using some code that hides it. The receiver normally
knows the code to find out the message.
- The SSL or Secure Socket Layer
keeps a webpage encrypted so
hackers cannot get information. The
web address would start with
'https://' and would be green.
- It has been used before in WW2 to
send coded messages.
- Barcodes count as cryptography
and they store The Product ID,
Size/Weight of product, Origin or
Product, and the Manufacturer.
