   1. H. Campbell-Bannerman

      Anmerkungen:

      • -Head of the Liberal party 1836-1903 -Prime minister from 1905-1908 -Reunited liberal party and won a general election in 1906 with huge majority
   2. J. Chamberlain

      Anmerkungen:

      • -part of the radical wing of the liberal party but broke away in 1886 due to his opposition of home rule -Leading figure in Liberal Unionists allied with Conservatives (resigned from Balfour's government)
   3. H.H. Asquith

      Anmerkungen:

      • -Succeeded Campbell-Bannerman as prime minster in 1908 until 1916 -Replaced by Lloyd George in 1916 due to the fact he was not making changes that were needed during the war
   4. D. LLoyd George

      Anmerkungen:

      • -Became prominent for opposition to Boer war -President of Board of Trade (liberal) in 1906 -Chancellor of the Exchequer in 1908
   5. W. Churchill

      Anmerkungen:

      • -Previously Conservative, became a Liberal in 1904 -President of Board of Trade 1908-1910 (replaced Lloyd-George) -Appointed home secretary in 1910 -Appointed First Lord of the Admiralty in 1911

      • -Conservative prime minister in 1902 -Huge miscalculations contributed to the liberal landslide -Resigned as conservative leader following a 'Balfour must go' campaign

      • -Succeeded Balfour as leader of Conservatives in 1911 -Supported Ulster Unionists in opposition to Home Rule -Prime minister 1922-1923
