The Present Simple Tense is a verbal time that we use for describe actions that you do everyday or with frecuency It have a positive and a negative version For example -I play videogames This one is afirmative -I don't play videogames This one is negative -He play videogames This one is afirmative -He doesn't play videogames This one is negative In afirmative sentenses we don't use don't and doesn't only on negative sentenses When we use don't and we use doesn't on negative sentenses? Don't I + + write You + + walk We + Don't + play They + + go Subject + Auxiliary + Verb Example: +: I walk to my house -: I don't walk to my house Doesn't He + + sleep She + Doesn't + read It + + run Subject + Auxiliary + Verb Example: +: She reads a terror book -: She doesn't read a terror book Why we delete the "s" of "reads" on negative? Because on the negative we use the base form of the infinitive. The third person verbs always loses the final "s" when it is on negative Another example: +: Dan needs Toby's help -: Dan doesn't need Toby's help We delete the "s" of "needs" because we use the base form We use Don't when the subject is: I, You, We, They We use Doesn't when the subject is: He, She, It Don't is the contraction of Do not Doesn't is the contraction of Does not There's no diference if you do this -I don't eat pizza Or if do this -I do not eat pizza We can conclute with this: The Present Simple Tense is very important for English because this one is used all the time in the lenguage and if you dot learn it good, you cannot speak English well
