Zusammenfassung der Ressource

Seite 1

Conduction

This is the process of heat transfer via one object coming in contact with another object and it transfers its particles and causes heat. Objects that are good at conducting heat are called conductors, insulators are the opposite Objects like, metal, seawater, the human body Examples of insulators are plastics, styrofoam, rubber, grass An example of conduction is a metal spoon that has been left in a boiling pot.

Seite 2

Convection

This is the transfer of heat through the flow of particles  Convection uses convection currents to transfer heat Convection currents is the circular flow of heat energy that transfers hot and cool air When hot air rises it gets separated from the heat and slowly becomes denser and cooler, which causes it to sink. Convection can be observed in a room, or in boiling water

Seite 3

Radiation

Radiation is the transfer of heat through radiation waves Radiation waves are waves caused by the sun that produce heat Heat transferred in the form of waves is called radiant heat Radiant heat can also be transferred from a fire to a pot on the stove
