The Internet in the Classroom

The internet is a big part of our daily lives but it is often difficult to think of educational activities within the classroom using this technology. What's even more difficult is how this is implemented in a manageable way that supports student learning effectively.Technology in the classroom gives opportunities to teachers and students. Classes now have access to various resources and information in just one click. The role of the educator has evolved. Now they are charged with giving the necessary support to students. The internet is something that can complement and assist teachers in the communication of knowledge in and outside of the classroom. For these educational activities to be successful, we want to share some of our tips for teachers!1. BehaviorThe online environment is filled with information. This in itself creates a difficulty of its own. The task of a teacher to answer questions and guide students through the endless reams of content can become difficult. It is important that the teacher assumes the position of leader and collaborator at the same time and with their students, discover and build an insight about the content that is on the curriculum.2. MotivationIn online educational activities, motivation is key for teachers and students to be successful. Students should know that they are working independently and need to take co-responsibility for results and activities. The teacher's role at this time is to motivate, encourage, collect and guide students so that their tasks are delivered on time.3. Technical ProblemsTechnical problems will always exist. It is important that before any activity commences, the teacher understands the platform used. Educators should be able to answer basic questions and help students that may feel lost as the lesson progresses. Technical problems are a major reason for withdrawal in students, therefore is is important to ensure support is always available.

The Role of the Teacher

If people associate teachers with just being in the classroom, they are very wrong. The work of the teacher extends far beyond that. From hours of research and planning to in class tutoring and guidance, a teachers work is never done. Add to that education technology and a teachers bow now has one more string. With this in mind, we have 4 organizational tips for teachers who want to transform the way they work and take something different to the classroom. Discover how to create your lesson plan, develop new teaching techniques and activities and correct work that will lead to the perfect classroom.Organized teachers are great at keeping a schedule of activities for upcoming classroom work. This allows more time for the development of other activities such as self-improvement and individual development.1. ORGANIZATION OF MATERIALKeep documents and material somewhere you can easily access it. Paper for the most part is now out of fashion, so we recommend you use a flash drive or create a block of online notes, that way you can access and share content more easily.Organize files into different categories such as calendar, lesson plan, class information and student presentations. As your needs increase, you can create new folders and topics ad hoc. 2. LESSON PLAN Establish a pattern to plan student lessons and update it when necessary. For example, if you create a lesson plan using GoConqr Notes , you can review it, add or remove information (including videos and images) make it private or share it with your colleagues whenever necessary.Lay out subjects for students to be as organized as possible. Write down the important information (work, notes, test dates). Always write the title of the subject, which class is taking that subject, the date and, if possible a short summary of the lesson. Information should be clear and succinct. You can create this plan using a Mind Map or note and use the "Play Mode" function to display the contents and then simply share that Mind Map with students. 3. COMMUNICATION You can create a Study Group to communicate with students outside of the classroom, share content, and send messages. Often the question can come from another class, in this case a Study Group is the solution for interaction and sharing ideas. 4. CALENDAR OF ACTIVITIES Divide activities into tasks such as: Lesson Plan, Activities for correction and Activities to share. Creating lists gives you more control over everything and helps to prioritize activities.Create an organized work schedule with these tips:(i) Determine the number of hours students have for each activity during the day and week. Be realistic and seek to balance your routine activities including leisure and rest time. (ii) Choose the best time, (day or night) and set the start time and end. (iii) Reuse the weekly cycle as to avoid repetition of work.

16 Tips for Creating Educational Activities

There has been much talk recently on Technology in Education, and the best ways to apply it. But we know that the modern teacher has to develop skills that go beyond traditional teaching. Currently a lot of creativity is required on the part of the teacher in order to develop educational activities, but this can be time consuming. In a bid to curb that, GoConqr have come up with 16 suggestions for creating educational activities.Check out the following 16 tips for creating educational activities in the classroom that are simple to develop and will attract the attention of students. 1. Use educational games: Games are engaging. You can use FlashCards as a game of memory or create a competition between teams using a Quiz.2. Stimulate student's creativity: Propose activities that encourage students to create something, the Mind Map is a great tool for this.3. Develop problems for your students to solve: People naturally like a challenge. Case studies with problems to be solved are a great exercise for subjects like Science and Math.4. Develop activities outside the classroom: Why not change the environment? Use the courtyard, library or laboratory. This arouses the interest and motivation of students.5. Involve students: Give them responsibility. The technique of the 'inverted classroom' works well. Each student or group is responsible for presenting a theme assigned to them. The theme is delivered by them while the teacher acts as a mentor in the process.6. Create Activity Groups: Create study groups by interests, propose activities within the classroom, suggest they develop a project that will last the course period. Questions and answers afterwards can be carried out online.7. Vary Delivery: Don't start every class with a quiz. Give students FlashCards to create with key topics for homework. Propose a reading, or a little discussion. Different activities make students memorize the moment.8. Change the format of the classroom: Change the layout of tables and chairs. Use the groups, auditorium, etc. This breaks the routine and students feel more comfortable.9. Use Technology: Using computers and mobile is worthwhile as it relates to the students routine. Develop activities with computers or tablets, for example, using GoConqr tools. The activity must be well structured so as not to lose focus.10. Make students Co-authors: Encourage students to prepare lessons where the teacher acts as a mentor guiding the process. Each student presents a topic. This will help in engagement with the subject and also prepares them for other situations.11. Use Social Networks: Platforms like blogs or Twitter are dynamic. Suggest that the class creates a blog or use Twitter to engage in #edchat relating to a subject.12. Subjects & Relationships: Discuss how geography can marry history. This can help students improve understanding of the facts and makes the subject more interesting.13. Use Newspapers & Magazines: Keep them updated with daily news and connect it with the theme of the lesson.14. Embrace new techniques: Develop educational activities in accordance with the use of the class. Do a search on them.15. Audio and Image: Use videos and music. This arouses the attention of students and awakens several senses in the learning process.16. Challenge students: Put activities and problems at a harder grade. Show them how they are able to always go beyond.By merging traditional methods with the daily living activities of the students, the teacher provokes greater interest in students for learning.Students regularly have their attention diverted to other activities, so the teacher needs to look for attractive alternatives to encourage young people to enjoy learning. Do not be afraid to introduce technology into the education process, after-all, technology is part of the routine of the students outside of the classroom and they feel comfortable with that so why should learning be any different.
