Management of a Burn Injury - Resuscitation/emergent

Management of the Burn Injury
Begins at the time of injury, Ends with the restoration of normal capillary permeability. Duration usually 28-72 hr. Includes prehospital care and emergency department care.
Goal - Maintain a patent airway, administer IV fluids to prevent hypovolemic shock and preserve vital organ functioning
