There are three major longitudinal arteries that supply the spinal cord: The 2 Arteries and the 1 Artery.

Unlike the dura in the cranial cavity, the dura in the spinal canal is not directly in contact with the bone. This space is called the space and is useful for anaesthesia.

Within the epidural space run a network of venous plexuses to drain the blood from the spinal cord. These are called venous plexuses.

In terms of the dorsal column/medial lemniscus system, sensory nerve impulses first enter the spinal cord via the root (dorsal or ventral?) before synapsing in the , from which they then travel up into the brain, synapsing again in the before finishing their journey at the Cortex
