Aging associated pathology

The Hayflick limit refers to the limit of potential cell divisions in a given lineage but is overall associated with the life span of a given species. Cell lineages which may ignore the limit include cancer cells, certain types of stem cells, and germ cells.

Caloric restriction has been shown to expand the life expectancy of certain animal models to include worms, rodents, and humans. Resveratrol can mimic the effects of caloric restriction so you should drink wine to slow down the aging process.
