Frage 2

Using a cardiovascular risk assessment tool developed based on NZ epidemiology, we can asses the risk of a CVD event over the next [blank_start]five[blank_end] years.
Risk below %5 is considered low risk. Treatment and therapy has [blank_start]limited[blank_end] benefit. Risk is reassessed every 5-10 years.
Risk between 5-15% is considered moderate risk. Discussing the benefits of starting an anti-[blank_start]hypertensive[blank_end] medicine and [blank_start]statin[blank_end] with the patient. It will have a greater benefit the higher their [blank_start]risk[blank_end]. Risk is reassessed every 2-5 years.
Risk over 15% is considered high risk. There is strong evidence to [blank_start]support[blank_end] using anti-hypertensives and statins to reduce CVD events and deaths. Risk is reassessed [blank_start]annually[blank_end].
A patient who has already had a CVD event is treated the same as those in the high risk category, and those under [blank_start]70[blank_end] are also recommended to take aspirin.
At all stages, diet and weight management, smoking [blank_start]cessation[blank_end], and a physically [blank_start]active[blank_end] lifestyle are recommended.
