This is the plot of A Christmas Carol: Ebenezer Scrooge is a tight, selfish and unfriendly old man. On Christmas Eve, he receives a visit: it is the ghost of his old business partner, Jacob Marley. The ghost tells him two more ghosts will visit him on two consecutive nights: the Ghosts of Christmas Past and Christmas Present. These ghosts show Scrooge how his mean behaviour affects those around him.
