Feeling & Emotion Fill in the Blanks

It's my tenth birthday today. My dad was [blank_start]confused[blank_end] if it was my eleventh as I'm becoming so tall so quick.

I'm really [blank_start]happy[blank_end] that he took me out to a pet shop.

I'm always [blank_start]scared[blank_end] of dogs, you know, so I bought a [blank_start]sleepy[blank_end] cat instead.

I was [blank_start]cold[blank_end] outside and wanted to come back home.

I was a bit [blank_start]hungry[blank_end] too.

My new cat Liz, however, was [blank_start]hot[blank_end] and [blank_start]thirsty[blank_end].

It was so [blank_start]thoughtful[blank_end] of mum to give me a beautiful birthday card.

Also, she was [blank_start]surprised[blank_end] to see Liz!

However, my grandmother was [blank_start]angry[blank_end] when we brought Liz home.

She doesn't like pets and was [blank_start]worried[blank_end] that she would fall [blank_start]sick[blank_end] by living with a cat.

Well, I had a wonderful birthday and not everyone was [blank_start]sad[blank_end].
