Frage Antworten
How are hormones transport around the body? Via the vascular circulatory system
Which hormones are synthesised and secreted on demand and which hormones are stored before secretion? There are 2 kinds, hydrophobic and hydrophilic. Hydrophilic ones are easily stored (i.e adrenaline) and the hydrophobic needs to be secreted on demand (i.e hormones).
What stimuli stimulate the release of hormones? 3 possible stimuli. In response to other hormones, body auto-adjust to the baseline, emotion or physical stress. Hormonal, Humoral, Neuronal.
What mechanism regulate hormone secretion? There are 3 mechanisms, Simple feedback loop, Hierarchical control and the negative feedback control.
How is the specific actions of hormones achieved? Hormones are specific to the receptors, with selective hormones targeting at selective receptors. Specific actions can be achieved.
Where do hydrophobic hormones act? As it's name said it is hydrophobic, so it will interact with cell receptors inside the cells
Where do hydrophilic hormones act? Surface receptors
