Sanctity of life? How does it affect our views on animals? Sanctity of life : Life is a special gift from God. God created the whole world, thus all creation of God, (including Animals) should be respected.
Stewardship? How does it affect our views on animals? Stewardship: Most religions believe humans have been given the duty/job to care for the natural world that God has created. We must treat animals with respect and consideration as God would want us to. For many believers in the afterlife, God will judge humans as to how well they have carried out this duty as trustees with his world
Evidence to Support for Christianity's Care of Animals? - Christians must worship and honour God by caring for his creations - "God created the earth and everything in it" (Genesis 1:1)
Evidence to Support for Islams Care of Animals?'s Animals must be protected as this honours Allah as he created everything that exists in the world - " He is the one who created all"
Christianity - ( Religious Food Laws, Beliefs and Practices about Slaughter of Animals for Food) - For most Christians killing animals is allowed. -Bible supports this : " Everything that lives or moves will be food for you " - (Genesis 9:3)
Muslims - ( Religious Food Laws, Beliefs and Practices about Slaughter of Animals for Food) - For most Muslims, Killing animals for food is acceptable. However, it must be 'halal'- all the blood must be drained from the animal and it must be slaughtered in humane way ( quick & painless). Muslims do not eat any food products from pig. They consider it to be an unclean animal.
