    Linguistics is the scientific of languagewhat is Language and how is it represented in the mind? To  understand the changing nature of language, we have to took at psychological issues, such as learning ability and perception, and social factors.

    According to Douglas, there are different dimensions of language.there are: Competence and perfomance Comprehension and production Nature and nurture Universal Grammars He also indicated that each language structure consists of four different areas: Phonology Semantics Grammar Pragmatics

    Halliday suggests that the functions of language can be separated in seven areas included; Instrumental Function Regulatory Function Representational Function Interactive Function Personal Function Heuristic Function Imaginative Function
