Medellín is a captivating city, not only for its pleasant climate (around 19 ° C throughout the year); also for the kindness of its people, its delicious food and that charming landscape that makes visitors fall in love.
The peasant humor of the inhabitants of Medellín, which is reflected in the antioquenian troupes, the typical dances and in general in the Paisa culture, is mixed with the hectic life of the metropolis. There are no mountains or rivers that can intimidate these people, who have one of the most prolific territories in the country, with large companies and growth in all sectors.
In fact, ingenuity is a characteristic of Antioqueños, so it is not surprising that in 2013 Medellín was named the Most Innovative City in the World in the Wall Street Journal's City of the Year contest.

BOGOTA
Bogotá, DC (“Capital District”), capital of Colombia. Located in central Colombia is a fertile highland basin 8,660 feet (2,640 meters) above sea level in the Eastern Cordillera of the Northern Andes Mountains.
Bogotá occupies a sloping plain at the base of two mountains, Guadalupe and Monserrate, on the ridges are two imposing churches. The city is laid out in a grid pattern and has several squares, including Plaza Bolívar, along which the main public buildings and churches face. Modern apartment towers stand alongside buildings dating back to the colonial period.
European settlement in Bogotá began in 1538, when Gonzalo Jiménez de Quesada conquered Bacatá, the main seat of the Chibcha Indians. The settlement was christened Santa Fé de Bacatá: “Santa Fé” after Quesada's birthplace in Spain, and “Bacatá” after the original indigenous name, which was soon corrupted to Bogotá.
