Fractions- Write lowest common denominator and make top heavy answers become proper fractions. If the numerator of the first improper fraction is smaller than the second then add one whole to the fractions to make it top heavy. | Fractions * Always write improper fractions as top heavy first. You do not need a common denominator. Multiply numerators and multiply denominators. You can cancel fractions by simplifying opposite numerators and denominators. Fractions / Swap the numerator and denominator of the second fraction around. |This is called the reciprocal. Then turn this into a multiplying sum and cancel if possible. |
