Question Answer
what is the definition of homeostasis? it is to help our internal enviroment to be stable, with sudden changes from external enviroment.
what is dynamic homeostasis? This is when the body keeps it's equilibrum constantly balance, to keep the body functioning at it's normal ranges
why is homeostasis so important? homeostasis is important bc it is the key for surviving and your everyday functioning. With homeostasis not working properly, causes illness or even death
homeostatic regulation is when the body would try to keep it's internal enviroment constant, even sudden changes in external enviroment. this works my constant monitoring and adjustment of the internal enviroment what is homeostatic regulation? How does it work?
what are the two mechanism of homeostatic regulation? autoregulation and extrinsic regulation
How does autoregulation work? This work by responding to some enviroment changes, where the organs or tissues adjust itself, to keep a constant internal enviroment. For example, low oxygen level increase chemicals which widens blood vessels to have more blood flow, meaning more oxygen delivered to cells that needs it.
what is extrinsic regulation? This reacts to any enviromental changes. it involves Nervous system releasing electrical signal to parts of the body or endocrine releasing chemical messenger, to keep a constant internal enviroment
