How does urban eutrophication occur? When rain occurs in large cities it filters down pollutants such as CO2 onto the ground below. Chemicals wash directly into water bodies, damaging water quality and marine ecosystems.
What is one of the main effects of light pollution? Changes predator-prey relationships Occurs around lakes and prevents zooplankton from eating surface algae, leading to toxic algal blooms
