Reeve | Local official elected by a community to bring people justice - Later known as a Shire Reeve / Sheriff |

Ordeal by Cold water | (Used for slaves) The accused was dunk into a river and proven innocent if they sunk. |
Ordeal by Sacrament | (Used for Priests) The accused ate the Bread / Host and were innocent if they ate it without choking |
Maiming | Mutilation of the tongue or hand |
Werguild | Fines payed to the victim for crimes committed |
Blood Feud | The right of a victim or their family to track down and kill the accused / murderer |
Pillory | Secured the arms and neck for greater humiliation in public |
Stocks | Secured the ankles for greater humiliation in public |
