What is an Authoritarian coach? Authoritarian coaches are strict, firm and demand discipline, they make decisions without their players input and focus on winning
What is a casual coach? Casual coaches let players have an input on what they want to do at training, They are easy-going and approachable
What is a Co-operative coach? Democratic coaches have Authoritarian aspects to their coaching but still take advice from their players and have a good relationship with them
What is a democratic coach? They are more a manager rather than a coach and have lots of other specialist working under them. This is more in elite teams
What are some on-field roles and responsibilities of a coach? 1. Managing risks- Managing the safety of players while you are under their supervision at training 2. Coaches code of behaviour 3. Player-coach relationship
What are some of the off-field roles and responsibilities of a coach? 1. Working with parents 2. Working with officials 3. Professional development and coaching pathways
