How can information be taken and processed more easily? When the reader has preexisting background information that connects to the content that they are reading.
What is the Flesch-Kincaid formula? It is used to calculate the readability of text, it provides a score for level of ease. The higher the score, the easier it is to read.
Why are headlines important? They give the reader some context before reading any large amount of information.
Why should we sometimes use simpler language and phrasing? To create a wider target audience for our content. It makes the text more readable and helps retain the information.
Even with scrambled words, the chances someone can read a paragraph of scrambled text are high. As long as the first and last letters are in the same position.
When a person reads, they never focus on the exact letters and words, they always anticipate and predict what comes next. The more previous knowledge you have, the easier it is to interpret what comes after.
