| What is Digestion? | It is the process of breaking down food into a use able form and making it's nutrients available. |
| Where does Digestion take place? | It takes place in the digestive system. |
| What is the Digestive Tract? | It is the pathway that the food takes through a series of organs. It stars at the mouth and finishes at the anus. |
| What are the two types of digestion? | They are Mechanical and Chemical digestion. |
| What are the differences between the two different types of digestion? | |
| What is food rolled into a ball by the tongue? | It is called 'Bolus' |
| What is an Oesophagus? | It is a long muscular tube that starts at your mouth and ends at your stomach |
| What is the job of the Oesophagus? | It's muscles push the ball of food down the tube by contracting behind the ball. |
| What is this process called? | It is called Peristalsis |

| What is Gastric Juice? | A mixture of chemicals produced by cells in the stomach wall. |
| What does Gastric Juice contain? | It contains Hydrochloric and Mucus. |

| What is the small intestine? | It is the longest part of your digestive tract. It is up to 6 meters long. |
| What is the Duodenum? | It is the first part of the small intestine. |
| What is the pancreas? | It is not part of the digestive tract but it is an organ connected to it |
| What is the liver? | It is the body's largest internal organ and you cannot survive without it. |
| What is Bile? | Bile is a greenish liquid responsible for mechanical digestion of fats. |
| What is the Ileum? | It is the lower part of the small intestine is known as the Ileum? |
| Describe the large intestine? | It is 1.5 meters long and 6 to 7 cm in diameter, making it shorter but wider than the small intestine. |
| What is the anus? | It is a sphincter muscle at the end of the digestive tract. |
