Credentialing validates that you have been successful in attaining the educational components that are necessary for the duties that you perform
Licensing refers to a legal document that permits or authorizes a person to perform a specific task or tasks
Certification signifies that one has fulfilled the necessary requirements of a specific organization to perform specific tasks
Registration to enroll one's name in a register, based on successful completion of a specific program and/or ability to pass an examination designed specifically for that particular specialty
Affiliate of the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) -offers CMA(AAMA) -must graduate from an institution that is accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES)
American Medical Technologists AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) -must be a graduate from an institution accredited, received formal training from the military, or have worked in the industry for a minimum of 5 years
