Provides a user interface: This is a personal setting for a user and another name for this is a "UI" or an "interface" this means in which a person controls a software application or hardware device. A good user interface provides a "user-friendly" experience, allowing the user to interact with the software or hardware in a natural and easy way.
Booting the computer: Booting is a start up system that happens when the computer is turned on. A boot sequence is a very important set of instructions that the computer performs when it is switched on. Every computer has a boot sequence, otherwise the computer wouldn't be able to turn on.
Performs basic computer tasks: Here are some examples that a basic computer should have: Creating short cuts,Installing programs,Backing up DATA, Searching through a Computer to find Folders and Files, Changing screens, changing the colour scheme on the Desktop, Having a wallpaper of your choice, Making Desktop Folders to put icons in, you can drag & drop,Cut, Copy and paste text etc. so to some up this is where a computer should have basic requirements.
Provides file management: This is in charge of files and folders and tells you what to open your application in for example ".docs".
Handles system resources: This is Handles digital objects and other resources on the internet.
