| One of the main pieces of hardware that I will be using in the making of my production will be a HD video camera. This will be used to record the video footage for my film trailer. This camera will be easy to use and will enable that the footage of my production will be in professional quality. The camera which I will be using will be acquired from the media department at Countesthorpe Community college. To take this piece of equipment home, I will have to get a permission slip signed by a parent or guardian, this is used to show that I take full responsibility for the piece of technology. | |
| I will be using a tripod to help the recording of my production. This is because the tripod will help me by keeping most of the shots involved in my production still and without being shaky. I will also be using a tripod for taking the picture of the locations that I will be filming at. This is so that in the planning stage of my production I will be able to show the location which I am planning to use. I will also be able to show the audience pictures of the locations which I was thinking about using for my final production, these pictures will be taken using a tripod as they it will make the pictures look sharper and less distorted. The tripod that I will be using will also be acquired from the media department at Countesthorpe community college. | |
| The next piece of technology that I will be using is a voice recorder. I will be using this to record the voice over which I am planning to use in my film trailer. I will also be using this for some of the sound effects that I will be using, for instance; I am going to be using voice recorder to record the sound of a light switch being turn on. This piece of equipment will again be borrowed for Countesthorpe Community College. | |
| I will definitely be using a laptop or mac book to store the video recording taken on the camera. I am undecided at which one I will use yet, as I find the MacBook's easier to edit on, yet I find other laptops easier to work in general. If I use a MacBook, this will be borrowed from Countesthorpe Community College again, however if I decide to use a different laptop I will be using my own personal laptop. This laptop does have editing software on, so I will be able edit my production if I use this. | |
| I will need to edit my production when I have finished the filming of it. At this point of my project is when I will decide what laptop I will use. The editing software I use is dependent on the laptop I use. If I use the MacBook's, I will use either Final Cut pro, which is seen as I very good piece of editing software, however I have never used it, or I will use iMovie which is seen as a less professional piece of software, however I do have experience using it as it was my chosen editing software in GCSE. If I choose to just use a normal laptop then I will be using ‘Adobe Premiere Pro’. I used this piece of software to edit my groups production in AS level media and I did find it relatively easy to use and if I did find something difficult on it, there was so much help on the internet, which told me exactly what to do. | |
| Along side of my production, I am also creating two ancillary pieces. I have decided to edit these pieces of work on ‘Adobe Photoshop’ as I have had experience using this program. Having experience on this program means that I know what most of the tools on the program do and are able to use them efficiently. Photoshop is also seen as a very professional piece of photo editing software. Photoshop is a very popular piece of photo editing software which again means that if I get stuck with the tools, their will be a lot of help on the internet. | |
| I have decided to cerate my webpage for my production on Dreamweaver, this is because I find Dreamweaver very good to use and I have used it in my other subjects so I am quite confident in using this piece of software. I feel that this piece of software has all of the different tools I will need to create the webpage and allow me to make it as professional as possible. |
